It is t-minus 6.5 hours until liftoff. It hasn't really sunk in yet that I'm going away: far, far away on Judea's Plain. Wow, I guess I'm in a musical mood today. This doesn't seem quite real that I'm going to a country on the other side of the world. It will probably hit me when we arrive in Tel Aviv and everyone is speaking Hebrew or Arabic.
Last night was spent trying to cram enough clothes and other supplies into small enough bags so that I hopefully won't have to check them. Anyway, I hope to be updating this pretty much daily (if we have internet access where I'm staying or if we can find internet cafes).
