"And the moon shall be turned to blood..."

So I went to my Institute class tonight (Institute of Religion NOT Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and we were going over the book of Acts. During the Pentecost, Peter gives a sermon in which he quotes the prophet Joel (which was later quoted by Moroni to Joseph Smith). It talks about how in the last days "your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" The passage then goes on to say that the sun shall be turned to darkness "and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come."

After class, I headed home, and what did I see?
It was a lunar eclipse. Now I am not saying that this is a sign of the last days. Lunar eclipses are relatively common. I did think that it was interesting though that we would be covering that exact passage on the night of the lunar eclipse. I don't think that the instructor planned it that way. Anyway, I just thought that was kinda cool.

Oh, and no that is not my picture of the eclipse. I was hoping to use one of mine, but they all ended up looking like this:

I guess I need a tripod, telephoto lens, and a much better camera to take decent lunar pictures.

Yes this was a boring post, but I'm a boring person so it fits.

Hey! We are so TOTALLY more boring than you are! So there! Yeah!

Anyways, I thought that was a great comment. You've had a lot of very neat insights. "He who hath eyes to see, let him see."
